The Chosen Key Word in this Chapter is “Consecrate” it comes from the Hebrew Word “qadash” which means “to consecrate, to set apart as holy.”

God instructs Moses to gather Aaron, his sons, their garments, the anointing oil, and the animals for the offerings before the entire congregation at the door of the tabernacle. Moses washes Aaron and his sons with water, clothes Aaron in his priestly garments, including the ephod, breastplate, and the gold plate reading “HOLINESS TO THE LORD,” and anoints the tabernacle, the altar, and all its furnishings, consecrating them for holy use.
Aaron’s sons are also clothed in their garments, and a bullock is offered as a sin offering, its blood placed on the horns of the altar to purify it, and the fat burned, while the remainder is burned outside the camp. A ram is offered as a burnt offering, wholly consumed on the altar. The second ram, the ram of consecration, provides blood placed on the right ear, thumb, and big toe of Aaron and his sons, symbolically consecrating their hearing, actions, and walk entirely to the Lord’s service. The Hebrew idiom for this ordination is literally “to fill the hand.”
Moses sprinkles the anointing oil and blood on Aaron, his sons, and their garments, sanctifying them together. Aaron and his sons boil the ram’s flesh and eat it with unleavened bread at the tabernacle door, burning whatever remains, exactly as commanded. Moses instructs them to remain at the tabernacle door for seven full days, completing their consecration, warning them plainly, “lest ye die,” since this ordination process required complete, careful obedience to everything the Lord had commanded through Moses.
Every detail from God’s original instructions in Exodus is now carried out precisely, nothing skipped, nothing improvised. Aaron and his sons stayed at the tabernacle door for seven full days simply because God said to. Complete obedience, even in tedious or repetitive instructions, was treated as absolutely essential to genuine consecration.
