The daily offering comes first, one lamb offered every morning and another every evening as a continual burnt offering, accompanied by grain and drink offerings, a rhythm meant to continue without interruption day after day.
God then details the additional offerings required on the Sabbath, doubling the regular offering, and on the first day of each month, requiring bullocks, rams, and lambs along with a goat for a sin offering, marking these recurring monthly observances with consistent, generous sacrifice. Instructions follow for the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, specifying the exact offerings required across the full seven days of that observance.
The chapter closes detailing the offerings for the Feast of Weeks, later called Pentecost, held fifty days after Passover, marked by new grain offerings and a full complement of animal sacrifices, reinforcing throughout this entire chapter just how central and consistent Israel’s rhythm of worship was meant to be, structured deliberately around daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal patterns rather than left to occasional or convenient observance.
